Making Motorcycle Birthday Cards

Are you looking for a unique way to wish your motorcycle-loving friend a happy birthday?  Look no further than the Ready to Ride Suite Collection from Stampin' Up! With its rugged design elements, this collection's perfect for creating motorcycle-themed cards that will really rev their engines.

Please Note:  While the Layering Diorama Dies are no longer available, you may still be able to find a gently used one on my Retired Rubber Stamps page.

It's Manic Monday!

(For more information of what Manic Monday is and how it started click here.)

To showcase the versatility of this suite, I decided to take a sample from the current Jan-April '23 Mini Catalog on Page 40 (shown below) and create my own version using other supplies. The original card features the Friendly Gnomes stamp set and a simple sentiment.  I decided to turn it sideways and use items from the Ready to Ride collection.

Creating the Card

For my card base I used a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″ and folded it in half to create a standard A2 card.  I then added the retro scene layered on top of Basic Black.

Next, I used the Layering Diorama Dies to create a background for my motorcycle.   The largest used was cut out of Basic Black.  I thought it would help hightlight the next layer cut from the map pattern in the Vellum Layering Designs pack.  Then the photo-like image came from the  Ready to Ride Designer Paper.

I stamped the motorcycle in black and used the coordinating die to cut it out.  Adding some dimension and shiny accent to the motorcycle was easy, I just die cut it from a Silver Foil Sheet.  The motorcycle was attached to the bottom of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the card sentiment I used my Real Red Marker to ink just the “Ride On” part of the stamp and cut it out with my Paper Snips.  The “It's Your Birthday” was stamped inside the card in Real Red ink.

Overall, I'm thrilled with how this card turned out.  I think the recipients will also be pleased with these motorcycle birthday cards.  By using the Ready to Ride Suite Collection as my inspiration, I was able to create a unique and personalized card that's sure to make any motorcycle enthusiast feel special on their big day.

Here's another idea that would be suitable for a birthday card for a man.
