This simple birthday card design came together quickly using various products from the Abigail Rose Suite Collection.
I first decided I was going to use the Abigail Rose Designer Paper, so I quickly checked the back of the package to see which colors were used. Knowing the color palette going in frees up time trying to coordinate the colors. The colors used for this paper collection are: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Petal Pink, Smoky Slate, and Very Vanilla. That became my jumping off point.
The large flower vignette came from the Cottage Rose stamp set, and I selected my Stampin' Blends from the paper color palette: Petal Pink and Crumb Cake. I added the Soft Sea Foam and So Saffron Stampin' Blends to finish it, and then cut it out with the coordinating die from Cottage Flowers Dies.
The Happy Birthday card greeting was embossed in white on Early Espresso cardstock and then cut out with the narrowest Stitched Rectangles Die.
Check out this birthday card idea for my sister I made many years ago for another idea. Although it is a little more complex. 🙂
