Why not make a Happy Birthday coloring card the next time you visit your craft space. Perfect for that special little girl — or maybe not so little 😉 — what a fun idea! After her birthday is over she'll have a fun activity to do, too.
This simple card features just one color, Real Red. That way the birthday girl can add all the colors she wants. I was thinking of putting in on a Basic Black card base, but wanted it to pop a little with color. What do you think, should I have?
I stamped the images in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink so they can be colored in with Stampin' Blends if they want to. Since it's layered onto a card base I don't think the colors will bleed through both layers.
I stamped and embossed the birthday greeting onto a 1/4″ wide strip of Real Red Cardstock and cut it apart before attaching to the card front. I didn't pop them up so they won't get in the way for coloring.
To create this Happy Birthday coloring card I used the retired hostess stamp set Hand Delivered. It's just so cute! It wasn't available for sale unless you hosted a stamp party, but you can pick up this set from me for $25, which includes Priority Shipping to you (sorry, U.S. only). And if you purchase it from me this week I'll send along this very handmade card, too!
Check out this cute birthday card idea for a friend using the same stamp set.
You're not limited to just birthday cards, though. This set would make some adorable graduation cards, wedding cards, and even a simple thank you greeting card for teachers day.
