A Christmas Card; Homemade Christmas Card Ideas for Kids

A Christmas Card - www.Stamp4Joy.com

Please note:  Even though this stamp set, you may still be able to find a gently used one for sale on my Retired Rubber Stamps page.

Here's a Christmas card I think just about everyone will enjoy! It does involve a bit of fussy cutting, but I really think the end result is worth the effort. And it's perfect if you're looking for homemade Christmas card ideas for kids!

Aren't these whimsical gnomes just delightful? I stamped them on Whisper White Card Stock and then fussy cut them out with my Paper Snips. They are invaluable for cutting out detailed images like this.

I knew I wanted to use a couple patterns from the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper collection, so I grabbed coordinating Stampin' Blends for coloring the images.

HINT: Did you know that colors used in a designer paper collection are listed on the back of the package and below the descriptions in the catalogs? It makes color coordination very easy!

These cute little gnomes (and card greeting) are from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set. You can see the complete set on Page 23 of the August through December 2020 Mini Catalog.

The “window” openings were cut out using the Peek-a-Hoot Dies. You can pick them up alone, but why not get them with the Have a Hoot Stamp Set in the Have a Hoot Bundle and save 10% on both? And don't throw away what's cut out, either, because the cutouts become little tags, complete with the opening to attach ribbon or thread to!

I used one of the smaller dies from the Tasteful Labels Dies to cut out the card sentiment.
