The beautiful striped paper you see peeking out on each side came from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Paper collection, infused with lovely floral and other complementary patterns perfect for your summer card making designs.
The birthday greeting I embossed on Rich Razzleberry Card Stock using the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad and White Stampin' Emboss Powder (and of course my Heat Tool), then cut out using my Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelits. If you've followed me for any time you know how I love them!
Just as an aside, have any of you ever tried embossing with a toaster or over a stove? Years (and years) ago when I first started heat embossing I tried that. To give you an idea how long it's been, my son is 25 now and it was while I was making his 1st birthday party invitations. So many burns!!! LOL! We have come a long way! I don't know what made me think of that, but I thought you'd enjoy the memory. 🙂
I colored in the balloons, shirt, belt, and shoes using my Stampin' Blends. You'll want to be sure to use the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad when using your blends the black ink won't smear. We'll be adding more Stampin' Blends colors in about a week, but you can see what's color packs are available now HERE.
The stripes on the skirt are a separate stamp in the set, and I used the awesome Stamparatus for perfect placement. I love this tool! You can find out a little more about it by watching the video below.
