What Was I Thinking? Handmade Grunge Card

What Was I Thinking? Handmade Grunge Card - www.Stamp4Joy.com

What was I thinking?

I had an idea, but I'm not sure I pulled it off. This handmade grunge card started off promising, with a cute stamp set, a couple of bright colors, and some bubble wrap. I think it might have gone downhill from there. LOL!

I'll have to keep playing with the idea, but I was pressed for time today so I'll have to report back later.

This cute Driving By stamp set you can pick up for free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order. I used some Stampin' Blends to color the bus body and windows. Watercolors might have worked better.

I used some bubble wrap to add a bit of Gorgeous Grape and Tuxedo Black ink to the card front. After that I grabbed a credit card and swiped black ink across the front. This created some lines for the impression of the road and then randomly around the front. You can't see it really in the photo, but I used my Chalk Marker to draw a few more lines. My Basic Black Stampin' Write was used to create a bit of a shadow along the bottoms of many of the circles.

The card sentiment was stamped in black ink on a piece of white cardstock. I cut it out with my Paper Snips because I didn't want it to be too uniform. Then I swiped the black ink pad along the edges. My fingers got in the ink a bit and so it smeared. I was okay with that because it just adds to the grunge look.

Anyway, I am going to revisit this card again in the future. Be sure to stop back in the future and see what I come up with.
