Sympathy Card Examples; Things to Say in a Sympathy Card

Sympathy Card Examples; Things to Say in a Sympathy Card - www.Stamp4Joy.com

If you're looking for some sympathy card examples to make, here's a beautiful one using Sailing Home and foil paper.

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base to coordinate with the designer paper. This particular pattern came from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper collection. I love the subtle metallic element in the design of this paper.

I stamped the lighthouse in StazOn Ink onto Gold Foil Paper, giving it a few minutes to be sure it was dry and wouldn't smear. Then I cut it out with my die cutting machine using the lighthouse die from the Smooth Sailing Dies.

I stamped the sympathy sentiment from Peaceful Moments across a strip of Gold Foil in StazOn Ink, again being sure it was dry before moving on. It was then attached across the top of the designer paper. I attached the lighthouse to the lower portion using Stampin' Dimensionals. I placed the top of the lighthouse in the inside circle of the pattern to give the illusion of it being illuminated. Do you think it worked?

This focal piece was then mounted on a slightly larger of piece of Gold Foil. However, I first cut out the center of the foil piece to set aside for later use, leaving about a 1/2″ edge. No sense wasting it since it was going to be covered up anyway, right? 🙂

I really like how this handmade sympathy card came out. What do you think?

Here's another card using the World of Good Paper to make Handmade Masculine Cards.

If you're like me, once you've designed your sympathy card examples you still have to come up with things to say in a sympathy card. This is always the hardest part for me. If you have the same problem, I've assembled a few examples you can use next time you need an appropriate sentiment.
