Simple Christmas Card for Christmas Card Sunday

Simple Christmas Card - www.Stamp4Joy.com

Today is Christmas Card Sunday and here is a simple Christmas card to make.

The tree came from the stamp set Evergreen Elegance.  It's retiring this year, but appears to be sold out already.  This is a really nice set to make holiday cards from.  And if you have a lot of cards to make this set will help you get them done in a jiffy.

The tree was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink and the ground underneath in Soft Suede.  I used my Blending Brushes to apply some So Saffron and then Daffodil Delight around the tree, then some Balmy Blue around the outer edges.  A bit of Soft Suede ink was blended along the bottom, too.  I really didn't spend much time or try to be too careful with it, but I think it came out nice.

Then I cut it out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then adhered it to a slightly larger layer of Soft Suede cardstock.

I can't remember the name of the die set that the “peace” die came from.  There are three in the set:  peace, jolly, and merry.  I cut it out of Soft Suede cardstock, too.

For the next layer down I embossed some white cardstock in the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder.  I'm super excited this is carrying over to the new catalog because I use it a lot!

What if you're short on time or supplies?

You don't have to use an embossing folder or Blending Brushes on your cards.  If you have a bit more time and the supplies, why not?  It just adds that something extra.

Don't have the right tree?  There are plenty of sets that have trees in them… try to use what you have already!

Don't have the same embossing folder?  Use another one, or don't use one at all!  That will save you one step.  And it will save you one layer of cardstock, thus making your Christmas cards a little less expensive to make!

If you're interested in purchasing the Evergreen Elegance stamp set (you can see it on Page 91 of the May 2021-April 2022 Annual Catalog), just let me know.  I can't sell it until the new catalog comes out next week.

If you're interested in the three dies that I can't remember the name of, just let me know that, too.  And don't forget, there's just a little over a week left to pick up any of the retiring product that's left… some up to 50% off!

Here's another simple holiday card using the Evergreen Elegance stamp set.  I quickly made up a bunch of those last year because I was running out of time!  LOL!
