It's time for tea, and this handmade card idea hits the spot! It features a few sneak peeks from the upcoming catalog that goes live on May 3rd.
Headlining are the bold, vivid colors in the Tea Boutique Suite Collection (p. 12 and 13). They just make me so happy! I used a couple of patterns from the Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper (158659) for the bottom layers, cutting out the smaller one using one of the Scalloped Contours Dies.
The adorable little envelope came from another paper design in the set. I just cut out one of them and popped it on the card sentiment piece.
The greeting was embossed on one of the new In Colors, Sweet Sorbet. Have I mentioned how much I love this year's In Colors? 🙂 I cut it out with one of the round Stylish Shapes Dies (159183), and layered it over a larger white one.
And then there's the cute teacup. The cup and the detail were both cut with dies from the Teacup Dies (160186) set. I just glued the white detail over top of the Sweet Sorbet cup.
Finally, I stamped the teabag and “Time for Tea” stamp in Garden Green and Sweet Sorbet and cut it out with one of the tag dies in the bundle. I used my Sweet Sorbet marker to draw the string and hole at the top of the bag and cup to simulate it hanging over the edge.
