Making Birthday Cards; Homemade Birthday Cards

Making Birthday Cards - www.Stamp4Joy.com

If you're like me, you'll find yourself making birthday cards often. I believe you can never have too many homemade birthday cards or thank you cards on hand!

For this bday greeting card I decided to pull out one of my retired stamp sets, Gifted Greetings. Even though it's retired, you can find it for sale on my Retired Rubber Stamps page under the Wood Stamps section while available.

Check out the photo on the right to see the four images that are included in this set. With these cute stamps you'll be ready to create birthday cards, a wedding congratulations card, a newborn greeting card, and cards for really any occasion.

The images in this set are perfect for coloring in, too, so it's great for kids to make cards.

I first decided to use the striped paper from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper for the background. Then it was easy to grab the same featured colors I needed from my Stampin' Blends to match. I used the Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party Stampers Blends Combo Packs. Then I attached a few tiny pearls to the stars in each corner of the image.

I layered one of my Pearlized Doilies in the center before attaching the focal image to my card front.

I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting in VersaMark Ink and used some White Emboss Powder to emboss on black card stock. Then I cut around the letters using my Paper Snips before attaching to the card front.

The sentiment came from the Little Ladybug stamp set. You can get this set for free, but only when you submit a qualifying show. Contact me if you'd like to know more about how you can receive this adorable set free!
