Today I decided to make a thank you card for the current challenge over at The Male Room, a challenge blog focused on projects or cards for men. The theme for this challenge is Thanksgiving or Thanks.
I grabbed one of my retired stamp sets from my Retired Rubber Stamps page to begin with. Between now and Monday at 6 p.m. PST I'm having a sale on everything on that page: buy one, get one of equal or lesser value for FREE!
I colored in the image with my alcohol markers, and then partially cut it out with the Ovals Collection Framelits and my Big Shot. I finished by fussy cutting around the rest using my Paper Snips.
I pulled the greeting for this card from Sheltering Tree. and then added a few pearls beneath it. Not too frilly for a man, right?
I liked the white background but thought it could use some texture, so I ran a panel through my Big Shot using the Boho Chic embossing folder. Perfect!
Don't forget, my Black Friday sale starts today and runs through Monday. Read all about it HERE.
And while we're talking about specials, read about how you can save while organizing your craft room!
I appreciate your comments, and I'd love to know what you think of this thank you card design. 🙂
