Homemade Saint Patrick Day Cards

I thought I'd better start coming up with a design for some homemade Saint Patrick Day Cards since Thursday is St. Patrick's Day.

I knew exactly how I wanted to make it, everything except the background.  Using one of the patterns in the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper made that super easy to create.

You can hardly create homemade Saint Patrick Day cards without a “Pot ‘o Gold,” can you?

I used the Gumball Greetings Bundle to create the  container and coins.  I'm rich!  LOL!  I stamped the “pot” in Basic Gray ink on Basic Gray cardstock and then cut it out — along with another one from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock — using the “globe” die.

Originally I planned to make the letters black.  Later I decided to make them gold, gluing them on top of the black letters slightly offset to make them stand out more.

All of the letters were cut out using my Playful Alphabet Dies with my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

Don't forget, for this month only you can pick up this powerful little tool for 20% off, plus an extra discount on select bundles.  Check them out!

Do you know someone who would enjoy receiving a DIY St. Patrick's Day card like this?  Give it a shot!

Here's another cute St. Patrick Day greeting card idea.
