Make an Easy Retirement Card

Make an Easy Retirement Card - www.Stamp4Joy.com

You don't need a lot of supplies to make an easy retirement card.  In fact, this could have easily been a single layer card, no problem.  That's what I actually intended to create!  LOL!

I grabbed a piece of cardstock on my table and just started stamping before I realized my mistake.  Oops!  No sweat, I just cut it down to a size I wanted and then mounted it onto the card base with some Stampin' Dimensionals.  But you get my point.  I guess I just got too excited to start stamping!  🙂

To create the little scene I took some copy paper and cut a hole out with one of my Layering Circles Dies.  If you don't have them you could user a larger circle punch or just trace a circle on and cut it out from the center.

I used that as a mask and then blended some Pale Papaya and Balmy Blue ink on with my Blending Brushes.  I love how you can create a smooth soft and subtle background with these brushes or be as bold as you like with your colors!

The palm trees, grass, and card sentiment all came from the tropical stamp set Paradise Palms.  The colors used were Soft Suede and Granny Apple Green.  I attached a few Genial Gems for a little more glitz!

If you don't want to make an easy retirement card, but instead would like a retirement greeting card that's a little more fancy, check out this Adventure Bound card.
