I made this handmade birthday card using Hippest Hippos for a friend's birthday coming up soon. This stamp set and the coordinating Hippo Dies are just too stinkin' cute!
Please Note: This stamp set and dies are retired, but you can pick up a gently used one on my Retired Rubber Stamps page.
I pulled together a few other stamp sets and dies to create this card: Paradise Palms and the Palm Dies for the palm tree and the beach grass and the sun, Oceanfront for the grains of sand stamped along the bottom, and All That Dies to cut out the sentiment.
Of course, along with the hippo I cut out the wash tub, mask and snorkel, and the water droplets using the Hippo Dies. These are so adorable! You can really dress them up for just about any occasion!
I used my Blending Brushes to apply subtle color to
the background and then stamped the sun. Everything else was stamped/die cut and then placed over it. So cute! I also stamped “Happy Birthday” on the inside of the card.
