Here's a unique and beautiful birthday greeting card that I created for Easy Paper Craft Friday.
What is Easy Paper Craft Friday?
During January I will be focusing on one specific topic, and every Friday there will be a new handmade card design I’ve created with that topic in mind. I'd love it if you'd submit your own card idea for the month in the Comments section below.
January’s Challenge: What Can You Do With a Circle?
You'll be surprised how many different designs you can come up with beginning with just a simple concept. Keep it very basic or go wild with your design, it's your decision. The sky's the limit! Here is what I came up with for this week's card idea.
Today’s Project
All the projects for the challenge this month are to focus on a circle. Well, I went a bit fancy with this one, but it's still a circle.
I used the new Queen Bee Bundle from the Jan-April Mini Catalog for this birthday greeting card. I absolutely adore this collection!
Can you see the striped circle in the background? It's a little hidden, but that paper pattern came from Abigail Rose Designer Paper pack. I “framed” it using the curved leaves I cut out with the Queen Bee Dies. The flowers and cut little small bee were all die cut from the same set.
I stamped the large queen bee in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then used my Stampin' Blends to color in. The words were stamped in black, too, and I used some black cardstock peeking out from each to highlight them.
If you want to you can check out the first two weeks' projects below:
