Autumn Card; Fall Themed Cards

This simple autumn card represents the beautiful colors of fall. The photograph really doesn't do it justice.

The first stamp of leaves (from Beauty of Friendship) was inked up with Crushed Curry ink, and then I used Sponge Daubers to apply some Cinnamon Cider and Cajun Craze ink randomly in the trees and along the edges of the detailed stamp. I grabbed my Soft Suede ink pad to stamp the tree limbs and trunk.

I've been on an embossing kick recently! I embossed the Thinking of You in white on a strip of Cinnamon Cider cardstock. Rounding the right edge corners of the tag with the Detailed Trio Punch gives it a different look.

I applied a few Brushed Metallic Dots along the lower right of the top layer to anchor it. These are easy to use because they already have the adhesive applied. Love it! The layer felt a little top heavy with the sentiment along the top left edge. I'll let you in on a little secret: I made a mistake up there by stamping the tree branches a little too high, so I had to cover it with something! 🙂

The front part of the card base was dry embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. It gives it a bit of subtle texture without overpowering the focal point. What do you think?
