Using your imagination you can come up with some pretty cute homemade funny birthday cards.
Today's project pairs a retiring hostess set of designer paper with a sneak peek at a new stamp set.
Taco Fiesta is one of the new sets you'll find in the new January through April Mini Catalog, which goes live next week. It's pretty cute!
I don't know about your family, but we love tacos here. My son makes some great street tacos! Yum! I got this set thinking I'd use it to make his birthday card coming up next month. You'll see a lot more of it, I'm sure!
I used the stamp with the grouping of chips and stamped it all over the Crushed Curry cardstock in Crushed Curry ink. The Alphabest stamp set was
used to haphazardly stamp the sentiment, which I then cut up to display on the card front. You could always print it on your printer, too.
The cute little taco and face was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored in with my Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. I popped him up with some Stampin' Dimensionals.
Finally, to give this homemade funny birthday card a more festive look I mounted it on a colorful striped sheet from the hostess designer paper collection Celebrate Everything. There is so much paper and so many holidays and seasons represented in it! If you get a chance to pick it up before it retires, do it! You won't regret it.
Here's a funny friendships card you might enoy, too!
