I decided to make some watercolor handmade cards, so I pulled out my watercolor pencils. I used both the regular set and Assortment 2 on this project.
It's been a while since I've done any actual painting, but using our stamps makes it a lot easier! I used the Soft Suede ink pad to stamp the images from Kindest Gnomes on watercolor paper so the ink could be manipulated and the lines could be softened with the Water Painters. They make it so much easier to control the water and the pigment!
Creating the card.
I first did a wash on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ sheet of watercolor paper using the large Water Painter, soft Night of Navy for the sky and some light Early Espresso for the ground. Then I stamped the images on another sheet of watercolor paper, colored them with the pencils, and added the water. The coordinating Gnome Dies were used to cut them out.
For just a limited time you can pick these up in the Kindest Gnomes Bundle and save 10%. And here's a little secret: There's a new stamp set coming in the January through April Mini Catalog that coordinates with those dies!
I just did a strip of Basic White cardstock for the card sentiment. A small Foam Adhesive Strip was used to attach it to the card front.
This cute gnome card could be used as a holiday card, but you could give this to someone for any reason. Change out the greeting to adapt it for any occasion.
Here's another handmade card idea using this cute bundle for something other than a Christmas card.
