Here's a clean and simple card making idea for Christmas. Unfortunately it uses the free Sale-A-Bration collection of Tree Lot Dies which has sold out. Wow, they went fast! I'm really not surprised, though, they are so versatile! It's a good reminder that if there's a free Sale-A-Bration product you're wanting to pick up, do it soon! They are only available while supplies last. (I'm looking at you Hippest Hippos and Hippo Dies!)
Of course, you could use another comparable
set of dies to replicate a set of affordable Christmas cards similar to this one. I'm thinking of ornaments, deer, Santas, etc. You get the idea! With just a half a sheet of Basic White cardstock, less than a quarter sheet of colored cardstock, and a bit of white scrap for the sentiment, you can make an elegant Christmas card for very little money, about 30 cents each! You just can't beat that.
For this card I used a couple of the detailed dies to cut out the trees in the card front. I glued a layer of Shaded Spruce cardstock behind the cutouts, then glued the detailed pieces back in place… it was just like a puzzle! It was very easy, though.
I then stamped the Christmas greeting from the Trees For Sale stamp set in Real Red ink on a scrap of white cardstock and cut it out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I popped it up on the card front with some Stampin' Dimensionals.
