Today is National Puzzle Day! I thought to celebrate I'd pull out the retired stamp set Love You to Pieces and the coordinating Puzzle Pieces Thinlits Dies. These may be retired, but you can find the gently used combination on my Retired Rubber Stamps page. You'll find a lot of other goodies there, too!
I've always loved this puzzle combo. Here I decided to combine it with the new stamp sets Paradise Palms and Oceanfront to create the scene. Once I stamped it out I used the square puzzle die to cut out the pieces. I just decided to glue it all down in place, but wouldn't this be a fun little thing to mail to someone to put together? Kids would love it!
For the sand, water, and sky I used Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, and Crumb Cake inks. I stamped the palm trees using Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow inks. And the coconuts were stamped in Soft Suede.
Just imagine all the different puzzle cards you could create for National Puzzle Day. I think you could also come up with just the cutest Valentines with this puzzle combo, too! Here's a homemade Valentine Day card design I created with it a few years ago.
