Homemade Valentines Day Card Design: Love You to Pieces

Homemade Valentines Day Card Design - www.Stamp4Joy.com

This homemade Valentines Day card design could double as an anniversary card or even a handmade birthday card. In fact, I'm thinking of giving it to my son for his birthday.

I was so excited when I saw the Love You to Pieces Bundle in this year's Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. It's actually what I had asked Stampin' Up! for! It comes with a wood-mount option or a clear-mount option, and includes both the Love You to Pieces stamp set and the Puzzle Pieces Thinlits Dies. You can buy them each separately, but why would you when you can get 10% off the bundle?! Place an order of at least $50 and you can select the gorgeous Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper package as a FREE item! One of the paper patterns is on this card… a nice bit of color under the top featured puzzle pieces.

Cutting out two sets of puzzle pieces, one white and one black, allows me to make two of these square cards. I now have enough to make another square card with white being the predominant color. Keep an eye out for it, coming soon!

Rich Razzleberry ink was used to stamp the feature puzzle pieces, while coordinating card stock was used to mount the puzzle on. As mentioned before, the butterfly square was cut out from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper. It was mounted onto a larger square I cut out using my Big Shotand the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. You’ll notice I tucked in a short piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, too.
