A delightful wedding card design for the newlyweds.

When it comes to celebrating the joyous union of two hearts, a personalized touch goes a long way.  As my nephew prepares to embark on his journey of love with his beautiful bride, I wanted to create something special to commemorate their special day.  I think this fun  and unique DIY wedding card will leave a lasting impression, don't you?

Creating a homemade wedding card.

Drawing inspiration from an elegant powder room, I crafted a delightful card that captures the essence of romance and sophistication.  A combination of patterns from the Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper collection were selected to enhance the overall charm of the card.  One of the patterns has what makes me think of scrabble tiles.  I just cut out the letters I needed for the Mr. and Mrs. towels.  🙂

For a little extra touch of elegance I incorporated some cardstock I dry embossed many years ago but never used.  It seems that this forgotten treasure is finally going to fulfill its purpose in the creation of this special card.  The intricate embossing pattern adds a subtle texture, making this card truly one-of-a-kind.

The “towel bar” element was created from a strip of  Silver Foil.  For a three-dimensional effect I attached Foam Adhesive Strips to the back so it pops up away from the card base.  This simple technique creates depth, making the towels appear as if they are gracefully draped over the bar.

I hope that the thought and effort poured into every detail shines through, conveying my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their future together.  My wish is that this wedding card design will bring joy and serve as a symbol of love and happiness for the new couple.
