Stamp the Stress Away:  Make a Tulip Greeting Card

It has been a stressful few weeks, so I just had to make some “therapy” time.  I really miss it when I don't have a chance to create.

I've been working on some projects for my upcoming March newsletter — you can sign up here — and had some extra pieces left over to make tulips.  So I thought why not make a cute tag that I could add to a card front?

The black-and-white patterned paper came from the exclusive hostess Pattern Party 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper.  Hostesses can pick this up for a bargain with a party total of $150 or more.  It's packed full of 48 sheets of colorful patterned paper on one side and black and white patterns on the other.  I love it!

The tulip petals were cut out of Flirty Flamingo cardstock and then sponged with Poppy Parade ink before assembling.  I don't know if you can see it in the photos, but I added some Wink of Stella to the petals for some sparkle.

I used the Delightful Tag Topper to cut out the larger and smaller tags.  I love how it's so easy to get different sizes!  I cut apart one of the card sentiments from the Flowering Tulips stamp set and added part to the smaller tag and another part near the bottom right of the larger one.  I used some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to attach the tags together.

Poppy Parade was the color of the day.  I used it in cardstock and to sponge ink on my tulip, and also my Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color the tiny pearls.  What do you think of this tulip greeting card?
