Top Note Homemade Gift Tags

Handmade Gift TagsThere have been so many announcements from Stampin' Up! lately that I haven't posted a sample in quite a while.  So today I thought I'd showcase the homemade gift tags we did at our party yesterday.

This cute gift tag uses the Top Note Bigz Die and the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine to cut out the tags in Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler card stock.  We cut along the perforated edge of the Crumb Cake piece so we could mount it on the Cherry Cobbler back piece.

The detail flower stamp from Watercolor Winter was stamped in Crumb Cake on the backround to give it a watermark effect, and then the image and greeting from Christmas Lodge were stamped in Early Espresso over that.  You can click on the photo to get a closer look

Using the 1/16″ Circle Handheld Punch we punched a hole on the side and then threaded some Early Espresso Baker's Twine through it.  If you wanted to use the tag on something like a jar or a candle, you could punch hole on either side and wrap the twine or ribbon around the jar or candle and secure through the second hole.  What a cute presentation of a gift that would make!

Speaking of gifts, we're about halfway through the 12 Weeks of Christmas, my free annual gift to my newsletter subscribers, and ideas for unique homemade gifts are coming up!
