Simple Thank You Greeting Cards: Easy and Beautiful DIY Ideas
Greeting cards are a heartfelt way to express gratitude and show appreciation to someone special. Whether you want to thank a friend, a family member, or a colleague, a handmade card can truly make their day.
One of the simplest yet most elegant ways to create a thank you card is by using beautiful paper. When you have exquisite paper on hand, half the work is already done for you. Take for example the Countryside Inn Designer Paper collection. This collection features stunning patterns that add a touch of sophistication to any project.
Putting it all Together
To start, I grabbed a white card base and layered it with the floral pattern from the Countryside Inn Designer Paper. The patterned paper was cut to be 1/8″ smaller than the card base, ensuring a clean and polished look. For an additional design element I added a strip of a darker pattern along the left side of the card measuring 5-3/8″ x 1-1/8″. I think this strip enhances the overall look of the card.
Next, it's time to add a heartfelt sentiment. For this particular card I used the “Thanks” greeting from the Lazy Days stamp set. Since the fancy die cut piece from the Painted Labels Dies is relatively small, it's easier to cut it out first before stamping. This helps to ensure proper placement since the center of the die cut piece is solid.
To highlight the decorative circle I layered it over a Night of Navy circle cut using a die from the Stylish Shapes collection. That way the decorative circle stands out against the busy backdrop of the paper for a visually appealing contrast.
The combination of this exquisite paper and heartfelt sentiment will undoubtedly make the recipient feel appreciated and cherished.
