You can make this easy greeting card for a birthday with a bit of designer paper scraps you have on hand. I actually used some scrap paper from the Beauty of the Earth 12″ x 12″ designer paper pack. With an array of forest-themed papers and beautiful fall colors, this collection is perfect for making autumn birthday cards for her and birthday cards for him.
I started with a Basic White Cardstock base – 4-1/4″ x 11″ folded in half. A Night of Navy layer was centered over the top, and then I cut six strips of the blue patterns from the designer paper to layer over that, alternating the designs from top to bottom.
Beautiful Trees Dies and my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine were used to created the tree, birds, and the small lovely frame for the sentiment. “YOU ARE THE BEST” came from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.
