Saying Aloha to Retirement: Making a Beautiful Card with the Paradise Palms Stamp Set
Retirement is a time to relax and enjoy the finer things in life. And what better way to celebrate this milestone than with a handmade retirement card?
When my friend told me she was retiring in May, I knew I wanted to create something special for the occasion. I used the Paradise Palms stamp set, the 3D Fern Embossing Folder, and Stylish Shapes circle dies to create a stylish card for her retirement.
Blending brushes helped to create a soft, dreamy skyline. Then I die cut a few circles from it. I then stamped some palm trees onto the circles using the Paradise Palms stamp set. The palm trees add a tropical feel and creates a sense of relaxation and paradise, perfect for a retirement card.
Next I embossed some Parakeet Party cardstock using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. I cut out a few circles from this to add texture and interest to the card. I also used some small Flirty Flamingo circle die cuts to add a pop of pink and tie the color scheme together.
Don't forget the card sentiment!
For the final touch I used a blending brush to lightly apply some Flirty Flamingo ink to a small white circle and then stamped “Retirement Wishes” in Tahitian Tide. This sentiment perfectly captured the occasion and conveyed my heartfelt congratulations to my friend.
Then I stamped “Hope you find a little paradise wherever you may be” in Tahitian Tide ink on the inside of the card, sending them off with good wishes for their future.
Please note: The Paradise Palms Bundle is retiring this month.
The Paradise Palms stamp set and Fern 3D Embossing Folder proved to be the perfect combination to create a unique and memorable card for my friend saying aloha to retirement, sending them off with a touch of paradise.
