Modern Medley DIY Birthday Cards

DIY Birthday Cards - Visit www.Stamp4Joy.comWe'll continue next week with different ways to use the Two Step Owl Punch, but today I thought we'd take a break for diy birthday cards.

What is the meaning of DIY?  Do It Yourself!

Create your own birthday card with some pretty paper, stamps, and imagination.  This was the card design and coordinating envelope we made at the Handmade Box Class last weekend, which was a big hit!  Plus everyone learned how to make these fabulous double bows!

Featuring two patterned paper designs from the Modern Medley Designer Paper collection, this card has a bold and dramatic look.  The focal greeting is from Really Good Greetings (w-130330/c-130333), but I think the real stars of the show are the tickets from That's the Ticket (w-131946/c-128075), a fun stamp set that you can use on just about any card.

Update:  The Really Good Greetings and That's The Ticket stamp sets are retired, but you can find them for sale on my Retired Rubber Stamps page.

To break up the neutral palette a bit I added a pop of color with some Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim and card stock.

This would also make a cute Mother's Day card since there's so birthday sentiment on it.

As always, you can just click on the photo for a closer look.

    1. Thanks, Patti! I know, that saying just speaks to me, too. Hmm, a day that really is all about me… who wouldn’t like the sound of that? 🙂
