If you're like me you're always looking for masculine birthday card ideas. This one works well, don't you think?
One of my card sketches was used as the template to come up with this handmade card design. (You can see it below.)
The card features the Evergreen Border Punch and one of the paper patterns from Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper collection. I think this paper would substitute well when you need a camouflage look, too.
The stand of trees were actually punched out of the same paper. I punched it out of black cardstock, too, and layered it behind for a shadow and to give some dimension.
Again, the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder
created the perfect backdrop. You know I love this folder, and it's perfect for so many different styles of cards! I added a little ink randomly inside the folder before running it through my embossing machine. This technique helps to highlight the embossing and accents the “timeworn” look. I then cut it and the greeting out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I think this card is perfect for a man who loves to hunt or just enjoys the outdoors.
