I was able to spend some time in my stampin' studio this weekend, and when I was done I realized I had created a number of butterfly cards. I must be ready for spring! Or maybe it has deeper meaning, something about the transformations my life is going through… but it's about 3:00 in the morning and I might be a little punchy, so I don't think I have the brain power to go that deep right now. 🙂
Sometimes we just want to make quick and easy handmade cards, and I like the simplicity of this one: a butterfly stamped and cut from patterned paper, mounted on a punched piece of card stock, with a greeting. You can't really see it in the picture, but I did add some glitter to the edges of the wings (click on the photo for a closer view). I think everything looks better with a touch of sparkle, don't you? A super simple handmade thank you card.
Supplies Used:
- Stamps: butterfly – Backyard Basics (w-129255/c-129258), greeting – Happy Watercolor (w-133188/c-133191)

Love how simple but cute the card is. Thank you for sharing.
Sandi, thanks so much for saying so. Often we feel our card making projects have to be intricate and elaborate, and we forget that simple cards can be beautiful, too! 🙂
