Free Card Sketch

A couple of days ago I offered a free card sketch with a masculine birthday card design.  Today we're turning the sketch on its side for a completely different look!

First I used a Blending Brush and the dots decorative mask (retiring soon) to apply some bright polkadot color to the larger layer on the card base.  Then I stamped the next layer with the smaller poppies across the bottom.  My Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends were used to color them in.

Next I stamped the larger poppy on a scrap of white cardstock and colored it in with my alcohol markers, too.  I then fussy cut it out, tied some white ribbon around it, and used some Stampin' Dimensionals to layer it onto the white strip along the right side.  All the poppy stamps came from the

Painted Poppies stamp set.  A greeting was stamped on white, layered over a Poppy Parade circle, and placed in the upper left corner to finish the card.

You can use this free card sketch to come up with any number of homemade card ideas.  I'll share another simple card design using this card template tomorrow on my Facebook page.  Be sure to Like My Page and you won't miss it!  🙂

In the meantime, check out what I did with this card sketch.
