Today is my son's birthday, and I wanted some ideas for fancy DIY birthday cards suitable for a man.
I wish I could take credit for this fabulous card idea, but I'm not sure I could ever come up with something this impressive on my own. One of our French demonstrators shared it on Stampin' Up!'s private demonstrator board and I just fell in love with it! I've always loved her creativity, and I knew right then I wanted to replicate this awesome card for my son.
I did copy it pretty much to a T as much as I could… you can't improve on perfection! You can check out her original card here.

I used the new Natural Tones Stampin' Blends to color in the otters. It's a complete range of natural tones consisting of 10 alcohol marker blends to create the perfect tone.
The designer paper is from the Flowering Fields 12″ x 12″ collection. The “metallic” parts of the machine was cut out of some Silver Foil Specialty Paper.
I used the “Wishing you the Sweetest Day Ever” stamp on the inside, stamped in Real Red.
