Here's a homemade card idea that might be perfect for when you want to send a card just because! Tomorrow is Send a Card to a Friend Day, and I think this would be perfect, don't you?
I knew I wanted to use the pineapple so I started with that. It comes in the Sale-A-Bration set Island Vibes, which you can pick up for free this month with an order of $50 or more. You can use these images to make quick and simple, beautiful cards.
I stamped the pineapple in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then colored it in with some Stampin' Blends. I cut it out with the largest circle die from Layering Circles, and then applied a soft color background with my Blending Brushes.
For the background layer I chose a pattern from the Pattern Party 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper Collection. This is an exclusive offering available only for hostesses to purchase for just $18. It comes with a whopping 48 sheets of colorful patterns on one side and black and white patterns on the other. And you know how I love black and white! 🙂
To complete this homemade card idea I pulled out my Playful Alphabet Dies to cut out the letters for HELLO. I glued together two layers of the letters before attaching to the card front with skinny strips I cut from the edges of my Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I love how they're popped up off the card. Simple yet beautiful!
