Easy Papercraft Friday

This month I'm introducing a new challenge:  Easy Papercraft Friday!  Let me know what you think of it and if you'd like me to continue it past January.  And I'd love it if you'd take the challenge yourself and play along with me!

For the month of January I will focus on one topic, and every Friday I will have a new project I've created with that topic in mind.  Feel free to submit your own creations for the month in the Comments each week.

January's Challenge:  What Can You Do With a Circle?

You don't need to start out with a fancy layout to come up with some really cute papercrafts ideas.  What if you started with just a circle?  Keep it simple or dress it up as much as you want, it's all up to you.  Here is what I came up with this week.

Easy Papercraft Wednesday - Stamp4Joy.com

To begin with I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a circle from the “rain” patterned paper design in the Rain or Shine 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper collection.  A small section was trimmed off of the bottom before I glued it over a Granny Apple Green circle of the same size.  After die cutting out the “rain puddle” and gluing it where the two meet, the “scene” was set!

Next I stamped the little critter in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored him in with my Stampin' Blends.  After cutting him out with the coordinating die from Playing in the Rain Dies, he was popped up over the scene using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I just stamped the sentiment below and then I was done!

What do you think of my first submission for Easy Papercraft Friday?  Please leave a comment and let me know.  And to think, I just started with a circle!

You can save 10% by ordering the stamps and dies in the Playing in the Rain Bundle!

Here's another creative handmade card featuring a circle.
