DIY Fathers Day Card for Manic Monday

It's a DIY Fathers Day card for today's Manic Monday Challenge idea.  I know summer seems like it's so far away, but you can still collect ideas to refer to later, right?

What is Manic Monday?

Manic Monday was designed to help us come up with card making designs when we're not feeling creative.  Each week I’ll use a sample from one of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs to help inspire you.

You can use it as inspiration to duplicate or just as a starting point.  It's easy to come up with a similar composition as the sample, or you can just go wild and think outside the box!

Today’s Project

The inspiration for this week’s DIY Fathers Day card came from the project shown in the middle of the photo on Page 45 of the Mini Catalog, January – April 2023.  It's the Congratulations card shown on the left.

I cut strips of designer paper from the He's the Man 12″ x 12″ collection and placed the strips slightly askew as shown in the photo.

Selecting patterns and colors was so simple because everything in the collection is designed to coordinate with each other.  It also lists the colors used in the paper patterns in the catalog and on the back of the paper pack for easy coordination.  That's how I chose the Cajun Craze for the accent color.

The card sentiment came from the He's All That stamp set.  Both of these can be purchased separately or in the He's the Man Suite Collection, where you'll also receive the All That Dies.  This bundle is available for a discounted price, too!

The Fathers Day card sentiment came from the He's All That stamp set.  I embossed it on Cajun Craze cardstock.

Both the stamp set and designer paper can be purchased separately or in the He's the Man Suite Collection, where you'll also receive the All That Dies.  This bundle is available for a discounted price, too!

You'll find everything used to create this handmade card below.

Here's a birthday card for a man using the same bundle.

And if you're interested, here's the cute Valentines Day card I made for the Manic Monday Challenge last week.
