My niece's birthday is tomorrow, and I wanted to create a birthday card in a box with a coordinating envelope to mail it in. Bright and cheerful, it's perfect. Not only is it a unique birthday card, but the handmade box portion let's it stand on its own to do double duty as a cute little table decoration for a party or just to enjoy in her room! I know she's going to love it. You can click on the image to get a closer look.
Although it took a bit of time to decide how I wanted to decorate it, the assembly really wasn't difficult at all. I'll probably be making another version of these 3D cards for my dad's 80th birthday at the end of the month, and I'll be sure to post pictures.
If you'd like to make a similar project in a class with your friends, just contact me to schedule a time.
I'd be interested to know what everyone thinks. Did I over-embellish? Would you like me to make a video showing how to create a birthday card like this?
