Continuing with our one-layer theme, this clean and simple handmade card design idea is perfect. With a bit of ink, a one-layer card base, and a small scrap of card stock, this card is very easy to put together.
I created the moon background by using the 2″ Circle Punch to punch out a circle from computer paper. I then used it as a mask over the card front and sponged some Balmy Blue Ink inside it. I purposely didn't cover the whole area to give it a little realism, dimension, and interest.
The images — both the tree and the words — came from the Rooted in Nature stamp set. They were all stamped using Shaded Spruce Ink. I just cut out the words using my Paper Snips. I attached them to the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, but I did cut them in half first.
Check out this alternative thinking of you card idea. It used the retired Lovely as a Tree stamp set, but could easily be adapted using Rooted in Nature.
