Christmas Card Design With a Simple Technique

Christmas Card Design - www.Stamp4Joy.com

The holiday season comes around every year, which means it's never to early to start thinking about a Christmas card design.  And that's what Christmas Card Sunday is all about!

If you're looking for inspiration, look no further than the retired Beautiful Blizzard stamp set, Stitched Rectangle Dies, and a few simple ink colors to create a stunning and unique card.

The first step is to create the background using the snowflakes from the stamp set (you'll find a gently used set for sale on my Retired Rubber Stamps page).

To create this soft background stamp the snowflakes on a layer of white cardstock in Versamark Ink.  Emboss the snowflakes in clear embossing powder, then use blending brushes to apply the ink colors of Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Night of Navy.  Start with the lightest color, blending it into the center of the card.  Then gradually add darker colors along the edges. This technique creates a beautiful ombre effect that resembles a winter sky.

For the sentiment, stamp the holiday message in Night of Navy ink on a separate piece of white cardstock. Cut it out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and adhere it to the center of the card front.

HINT:  After cutting out the sentiment, I cut it out again to make it more narrow to fit the size of it.

The final result is a lovely and unique Christmas card design that's perfect for the holiday season and will impress everyone on your holiday card list.

Spread holiday cheer to friends and family with this beautiful card that is sure to make a lasting impression. So get crafting, and make your holiday season one to remember!
