This birthday card for a friend uses the awesome set from the Occasions Catalog, Butterfly Basics. Believe it or not, I actually bought this set in the bundle, which includes the Butterflies Thinlits Dies, but I've had so much fun just using these stamps that I haven't gotten around to playing with the thinlits yet. I love this set!
The different paper patterns came from the Typeset Specialty Designer Paper Collection. You can't go wrong with black and white! Or in this case, black and vanilla. 🙂
I colored in the flowers and leaves with my Blendabilities. I used some very pretty Venetian Crochet Trim for a touch more texture and elegance.

Could you tell me what colors you used for the flowers and leaves and also where you used dimentionals? I love this card! TYFS
Hi, Carol! I used a variety of Blendabilites to color the leaves and flowers, and I’m sorry, I can’t remember exactly what colors were used… probably Wild Wasabi on the leaves. I know I began with Daffodil Delight on the flowers, but I’m not sure where I went after that. I love to experiment. 🙂 The dimensionals were used behind the flower piece and the greeting piece. Hope that helps.
Stunning birthday card. The sublt hint of colour sets the whole thing off beautifully.
Thanks so much, Buffy!
I love the butterfly bundle too!
