A Begonia Belle Card with Soft Layers and Fresh Color
This Begonia Belle card combines a pretty color combination — Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party — with the beautiful floral images from the Begonia Belle stamp set. The result is a clean, elegant design with just the right amount of color and dimension.
I stamped the large flower using Flirty Flamingo ink. For the two-step image I stamped the first layer at full strength, then stamped the second layer after stamping off once. That simple step creates natural
highlights and gives the flower beautiful depth without adding extra coloring.
I used the same technique for the leaves with Granny Apple Green ink. Stamping off the detail layer softens the image while still allowing the texture to show through.
Rather than leaving the flowers floating against a plain white background I lightly blended Pool Party ink behind with a Blending Brush. The soft color creates a gentle glow, helping the floral cluster stand out while keeping the overall design light and airy.
The sentiment comes from the Extraordinary Life Sticker Sheet, included with the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheet. I loved how it introduced a touch of Daffodil Delight, completing the color palette and adding a cheerful focal point. The black lettering also inspired the thin Basic Black mat layer, which frames the card and ties everything together.
The flower were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals for extra dimension. I used Liquid Glue to tuck the larger leaves underneath.
A Few Simple Details Make a Big Difference
Sometimes it's the little touches that elevate a card. Stamping off the second layer adds depth. Soft background blending prevents the images from feeling like they're floating. Adding a narrow black mat provides just enough contrast to pull the whole design together.
It's a wonderful reminder that a few thoughtful techniques can transform simple stamping into something special.
