If you're like me, the beginning of January I like to pause and reflect on the past year and set some 2015 resolutions for the coming year. This time I decided to create a few specific stamping New Year's goals, too!
Do you have any stamping, scrapbooking, or crafting goals? It's a good idea to write them down. And be specific! How will you accomplish them?
Display them in a prominent place as a reminder. You also might consider telling a friend or spouse your goals… maybe you can support each other and work on them together!
So, I'm writing them down and sharing them with you, my stampin' friends. Here are my top 3 stamping New Year's Goals for 2015:
1. Begin selling my handmade card designs and other paper art crafts on Etsy.
I've set up my shop, but I haven't “stocked” it yet. 🙂 I'll let you know when I do!
2. Start my Christmas cards earlier this year!
Everyone got a unique Christmas card this year since I stamp so many samples for my blog and classes, but I actually didn't have enough homemade Christmas cards to send to everyone I would have liked to.
Does this happen to you? Schedule a time you'll devote to making your Christmas cards. Most people don't create a different card for each person, so once you have your design(s) in mind you can create them in an assembly-line fashion and they will go pretty quick! Make 10 or 20 at a time, and you'll have them done in no time.
If you need inspiration, I've decided this year I'll devote my Sunday blog posts (or most of them, anyway) to Christmas card ideas. Stop by and let me know what you think! I could use the encouragement — especially this summer — lol!
3. Brighten someone's day!
I love receiving beautiful cards in the mail — especially when it's unexpected — and I'm sure others do, too! My third goal is to mail out at least two “just because” or “thinking of you” cards every month, not because it's their birthday or some other special occasion, but, well… just because!
