I decided to make a new baby card using this week's card making template over at i Love Card Sketches. I have a few friends who've recently welcomed new grandbabies, so I need to crank out a few of these handmade baby cards.
The cute little duckie came from the Something for Baby stamp set… so cute! I stamped it up in Hello Honey ink, and then used my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker to color in the duck's bill. This set is sold as a bundle with coordinating framelits, which I used to cut out the ducks and then popped them onto the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Look how beautifully the designer paper and ribbon coordinate with the Hello Honey ink. I just love that new Hello Honey Quilted Cotton Ribbon! I wish it came in other colors. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the future! 🙂
The patterned paper is from the Sweet Dreams Designer Paper collection. Both the paper and the ribbon can be found on page 39 of the new Occasions Catalog.
I tied a Neutral Designer Button onto the ribbon using some of the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine (again from the Occasions Catalog, page 37). The tickets came from That's the Ticket and were again stamped in Hello Honey and then punched out using the Ticket Duo Builder Punch.
I created a new baby card with this sketch. Why not come join us over at i Love Card Sketches and submit your own interpretation?
