Making paper boxes is easy if you have the Gift Box Punch Board, which will make boxes up to 4″ x 4″. If you want something larger you'll need to figure out the dimensions.
I created this DIY box because I wanted something a bit larger because I'm not sure exactly how big my gift will be until it arrives.
I drew my brother for the drawing this year. I have a pretty cool gift picked out, but it won't arrive until after the holidays. I can wrap up the flyer showing what it is, like a gift card, but I wanted something else for him to unwrap on Christmas Eve. And what's better than a funny gift idea that's practical, too!
I don't know if you've seen Poo-Pourri or not, but I love them as a gag gift for white elephants, stocking stuffers, etc. because they really are a wonderful product yet hysterical when people receive them! Which brings me to how I came up with my handmade gift wrap idea!
I thought the Santa & Company Designer Paper Collection had the perfect theme to coordinate with the gift inside. What do you think? And guess what? At the time of this writing it's on sale!
I used the Deco Labels Framelits Collection for the edges of the band around the custom box, and tied them together with some Real Red Satin Woven Ribbon.
I'd love to hear what you think! Please leave your comments below.
