Sending birthday card wishes.
In the midst of a busy schedule sometimes we need a little reminder to show our loved ones how much we care. With my niece's birthday just around the corner I decided to take a break from the chaos of late and create a simple yet heartfelt birthday card. Today I'm excited to share with you this DIY birthday card idea.
To begin, I cut a strip of designer paper measuring 4-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper pack. This was then cut into three pieces, each measuring 1-1/2″ x 3-1/2″.
The next step was to emboss a “Happy Birthday” sentiment, which came from the Days to Remember stamp set, in black on the bottom strip. I think this made the sentiment truly stand out.
To frame these designer paper strips I layered each piece onto slightly larger sections of black cardstock measuring 1-5/8″ x 3-5/8″. This not only enhanced the overall look of the card, but also added a stylish touch to the design, highlighting the black in the centers of the flowers.
And just like that, in a matter of minutes, my DIY birthday card was ready to send my warmest birthday card wishes.
