This homemade card idea could be used for any occasion. Why not whip up a few of these easy handmade cards to have on hand when you need a card, but don't have time to make one?
The stamp set I used here is In The Country, which you can select for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. Two beautiful images that are quick and easy to use. I colored them in with Alcohol Markers, but you could just leave them as is.
I offset it over a layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock. The background paper pattern came from the 6″ x 6″ Tea Boutique Designer Paper Collection. I wasn't sure it would work, but I think it looks great!
The card sentiment came from the Beautifully Happy stamp set. You can select this set of 17 stamps for free with a $100 purchase.
I used one of the smallest dies from the Tailor Made Tags Dies to stamp the card greeting in Granny Apple Green ink. Then I used the dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend to color the white baker's twine.
Note: It doesn't soak through to both sides like it does when you're coloring ribbon. You'll have to apply the ink a few times, front and back, to get good coverage.
Here's another handmade all-occasion greeting card I made a number of years ago.
