Do you need a thank you card for your boss? Maybe you received a nice gift or even a bonus for the holidays and would like to express your appreciation. If your boss is a woman I think she'd love this handmade card. It's made using a few products included in the new Peaceful Poppies Suite Bundle. What do you think? These products are included in the upcoming Occasions Catalog, which begins January 3, 2020.
I began by stamping the poppy and coloring in using the Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. Then I cut them out using my Paper Snips.
I stamped the flower a bud again, colored them in, and cut them out. Then I popped them on top with a Stampin' Dimensional and a piece of a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.
How to Make the Fancy Oval Design
The Stitched Shapes Dies were used to cut out same-sized ovals from Poppy Parade Card Stock and another one from Whisper White. Then I used a smaller oval to cut out the center of the Whisper White one.
Next I cut out the intricate floral design from the Poppy Moments Dies in Whisper White. I glued it to the back of the larger Whisper White oval with the center cut out. After it dried I cut along the outside of the oval to remove anything that extended beyond the edges. Then the white design was layered over the top of the solid Poppy Parade oval. I attached the poppy over that.
A paper pattern from the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper collection was chosen to run underneath the framed poppy. I layered that over a slightly larger piece of Poppy Parade Card Stock, after ripping the bottom edge a bit for some texture.
Before attaching the patterned paper piece to the top card front I wrapped a piece of Scalloped Lace Trim near the bottom and taped it to the back.
The “thank you” greeting came from the Free as a Bird stamp set. I wanted something smaller than the one that comes in the Peaceful Moments set, and I like the script font, too. It was stamped in Poppy Parade Ink on white card stock, then layered over a strip of Olive Green Card Stock.
Finally, a few Peaceful Poppies Sequins were scattered onto the front of the card.
Check out this thank you card idea, for your boss or anyone else.
