Thanks Card Idea: What Can You Do With a Circle?

I designed this thanks card idea for Easy Paper Craft Friday this week.  I decided to step it up by created a raised circle to highlight and view the focal image through. It's an easy way to add interest to your homemade cards.

What is Easy Paper Craft Friday?

Each month I'll focus on one specific topic, and every Friday there will be a new handmade card design I’ve created with that topic in mind.

January’s Challenge:  What Can You Do With a Circle?

This month's theme was “What Can You Do With a Circle?” A simple approach with so many possibilities!  I’d love it if you’d submit your own creations for the month in the Comments section below.

How many different card ideas can you come up with when you begin with a simple concept.  Keep it basic or feel free to think outside the box.  The sky’s the limit!

This thanks card idea is what I came up with this week.

Today’s Project

The focus of today's card design is on the bright flowers in the circle.  They came from the Beautifully Happy stamp set which has 17 images in  it.  The best part?  You can select this set FOR FREE when you place an order of at least $100 in my Online Store during Sale-A-Bration

This is a two-step stamp set.  You stamp the detail image first, then you stamp the flowers and leaves separately to add the color.  It's so easy to use and really wows!  I stamped on a smaller piece of white cardstock, 5″ x 3-3/4″

To create the circle “frame” I again used a piece of white cardstock measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″ and die cut out the circle.

HINT:  Save this circle for another project!

I used two circle dies at the same time to cut out a thin black circle to glue around the opening.

I wrapped some Foam Adhesive Strips around the inside of the circle and around the edges.  Then I attached this layer over the stamped images.  Then the layered piece was glued to the center of the card front.

You can see the other card designs using a circle below:
