At last! Today is the first day of summer, my favorite time of the year. I grew up in the southwest and love warm, sunny days. This bright handmade card idea features watercolor stamping with the Summer Afternoon hostess set, which takes me back to those warm afternoons of my childhood.
I was really looking forward to ordering the beautiful new In Color Dahlias, but was concerned they'd be too heavy for the Glue Dots. I guess I was worried for nothing because they're not going anywhere!
The strip of designer paper behind the image is from Floral District. Of course the ribbon is the luscious 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon in Gumball Green, which perfectly matches the card stock.
