Making a shamrock for this St. Patricks Day card was easy using the stamp set and framelits that I picked up in the Hearts a Flutter Bundle (w-131098/c-131097) from the Spring Catalog. I used my Gumball Green Stampin' Write Marker from the 2012-2014 In Color Marker Collection to color the stem on the leaf stamp in Betsy's Blossoms (w-126004/c-126006).
The interesting background came about because after stamping in Gumball Green and then cutting out my “shamrock,” I realized I had no Gumball Green card stock! So I took some Whisper White card stock, ran it through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and then brayered Gumball Green ink all over it. I made my own designer paper. Pretty cool!
I didn't have a suitable greeting on hand, so I printed it on my printer in Gumball Green on white card stock. (The RGB code for Gumball Green is R=105, G=132, B=51.) It's an Irish blessing, and reads:
“May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, May good luck pursue you each morning and night.”
I added a Dahlia to finish it off.
