Poinsettia Christmas Card Idea on Christmas Card Sunday

Poinsettia Christmas Card Idea - www.Stamp4Joy.com

Rooted in Nature (comes in wood mount or clear mount) is an extremely versatile set, as you can see on this poinsettia Christmas card idea.  I used the smallest leaf stamp to create the poinsettia and, of course, the leaves.  You can use the coordinating Nature's Roots Framelits Dies to quickly cut them out or fussy cut them using your Paper Snips.  I actually started out using my dies, but decided I wanted a closer trim and switched to my Paper Snips.

After cutting them out I sponged the edges of the petals and leaves with some ink, and then grabbed my Bone Folder to curl under the edges a bit to give them some 3D dimension.

Rooted in Nature BundleAren't those colors just vibrant?  I used a couple of the new ink colors, Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce.  Love them!  I layered the poinsettia layer onto a bit of Shaded Spruce Card Stock before attaching to the card front for perfect color coordination.

The flower centers were decorated with some Basic Pearls and some from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls collection.  Fabulous!

Finally, the greeting came from the Christmas Pines stamp set which has a great assortment of Christmas card sentiments to choose from.  And of course I used the Banner Triple Punch to give it a little flag treatment on one end.

It's not too early to start on those holiday cards.  Why not give this poinsettia Christmas card idea a try?
